Lonnely Planet:
This is another contender for title of Cuzco´s best hotel. Set in a huge, opulently furnished, old, colonial mansion with a fine courtyard, it also boasts Inca foundations, and part of the building date back to the 16th century, when Francisco Pizarrro was the occupant for a time. Rooms sport all the comforts you would expect, and some you wouldn’t (free slippers to take away) there’s also a Jacuzzi, sauna, gym, gift shop and good restaurants.

Close enough, but a bit removed from the hubbub of the Plaza de Armas, this hotel on the tiny Plazoleta Santo Domingo was the last home of Francisco Pizarro, the first governor of Peru. The glass-covered lobby is a great place to relax with a mate de coca and soak in the antiques, fountain, and Cusqueño art that fills the lobby and courtyard. Rooms, decorated in Peruvian colonial style with views of patio gardens, all have central heating to keep out the chill. The plush bar makes a mean pisco sour. www.libertador.com.pe. 254 rooms, 13 suites. Restaurant, café, in-room safes, minibars, in-room data ports, hair salon, sauna, bar, shops, laundry service, concierge, business services, meeting rooms.
