We offer the world’s finest short and long rain forest itineraries, catering on the one hand to travelers with limited time or budget and, on the other hand, to serious wildlife photographers and nature lovers. The two best short trips are to the cool Manu cloud forest and to shimmering Lake Sandoval, the most beautiful lake in the Tambopata Reserve. The best long trip visits all elevations of the world famous Manu Biosphere Reserve, which starts in the high Andean grasslands and descends through mountain forests to vast lowland rain forests. The Manu lowlands are still inhabited by uncontacted Indians - one of the last such places in the world.

Manu Wildlife Center located east of the Manu River on the north bank of the Madre de Dios River, and reached by a 35-minute light plane flight from Cusco, offers the Amazon’s finest short, in-depth wildlife safari. The Lodge contains 22 double-occupancy fully screened bungalows with private bath (with hot shower), a large fully screened dining room, and a bar with hammocks for relaxing.
